We understand the dilemma that Covid-19 can pose in these uncertain times when making the decision to book a holiday for the coming season. We are happy to think along with you and therefore offer the following attractive additional cancellation conditions.

If your, at Butch Sailing booked trip cannot take place because one of the situations as mentioned below applies to your situation at the check-in date you have reserved, the amount paid by you and received by us in our bank account with regard to the (down) payment of the rent of the yacht and any additional costs is fully refunded to the account of the booker*. Amounts related to the trip (e.g. commission of (online-) booking agents, hotel stays, flight and/or travel tickets and transfer costs), paid by the booker* to other parties and therefore not received by us, are not covered by this refund offered by us. This offered refund applies if:

• the government of the booker's* country of origin issues a negative advice for travel to Greece based on rules regarding the spread of Covid-19, or if
• the Greek government prohibits entry for residents of the booker's* country of origin into Greece on the basis of rules regarding the spread of Covid-19 or imposes a general multi-day quarantine requirement for incoming travelers.

If the government of the booker's* country of origin, the Greek government, the airline or other transport organization to be used by the booker* applies other requirements conditions whereby travel is allowed if these are followed, and the booker* and/or his travel party do not meet the requirements or conditions, no refund-claim can be made and our usual cancellation conditions apply. This includes for example non-compliance with a possible entry or exit requirement with proof of a negative Covid-19 test result, non-compliance with the conditions of the PLF mandated by the Greek government, the imposition of additional conditions by the airline, et cetera.

If the Greek government, the government of the booker's* country of origin, the airline or other transport organization to be used by the booker*, applies changes to the Covid-19 policy, or imposes restrictions on travelers after the passenger's arrival in Greece the refund of (part of) the travel sum is not applicable.

If the booker* himself decides to cancel, our usual cancellation conditions apply.

* Booker: By booker we mean the guest who has made a booking with Butch Sailing directly or through the intermediary of an (online) agent and who has received a booking confirmation. In the event that the booking is made through the intermediary of an agent, we will only return the money paid to us if the agent demonstrably passes it on to its customer. In other cases of booking through agents, we provide a voucher worth the amount(s) concerning this reservation that are already received in our bank account.

VOUCHER CONDITIONS

• The voucher represents the value of the amount concerning the reservation, already paid and received on our bank account and can be used to reschedule the booked trip in consultation with our planning.
• The voucher will be valid up to and including the 2023 season.
• If the re-planned trip has a higher value than the value of the voucher, the difference must be paid according to the applicable payment conditions.
• If the rescheduled trip has a lower value than the value of the voucher represents, we will refund the difference between the value of the trip and the value of the voucher.
• In case rescheduling is unsuccessful, we will refund the amount to the value of the voucher to the booker's* bank account.

Visitors from ALL country's are allowed to visit Greece.

Currently no Covid-19 related measures and restrictions apply for international travel.

Wearing a protective mask in the passenger terminal building at the airport is compulsory.

 As of Sunday 01.05.2022 and for as long as the epidemiological data allow so, all travellers arriving in Greece, regardless of their country of origin, are no longer required to display a valid certificate of vaccination or recovery from COVID-19, or evidence of a negative test result from SARS-CoV-2 infection (PCR or Rapid Antigen test).

As of Sunday 01.05.2022 and for as long as the epidemiological data allow so, all travellers arriving in Greece, regardless of their country of origin, are no longer required to display a valid certificate of vaccination or recovery from COVID-19, or evidence of a negative test result from SARS-CoV-2 infection (PCR or Rapid Antigen test).

However, a simplified PLF remains in operation, the completion of which is OPTIONAL, for the sole purpose of enabling the traveller / family to issue an EU Certificate of negative or positive COVID-19 test result. 

Travellers, who decide to fill out the simplified form, will receive the PLF with their unique Quick Response (QR) code via email (the QR code will be provided in a link in the email).

The PLF can also be found on the Visit Greece app and at travel.gov.gr. It is strongly recommended that all visitors download the Visit Greece app (GDPR compliant) for free, prior to their arrival in Greece.

Visitors who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 upon arrival can optionally isolate at their booked hotel, as long as the length of their stay at the hotel covers the isolation period.

During their stay in Greece, foreign visitors must follow all measures that apply to Greek citizens. In particular, the use of face mask at all indoor areas is obligatory to everyone, except children under the age of 4 and those with respiratory problems.
