Our homebase
If you arrive on Aktio Airport, it is a less than 15 minutes drive by car or taxi to set foot on the quay of Preveza, our homebase.
Preveza is an attractive coastal town in the west of Greece and is located on the gulf of Amvrakikos in Epirus on the Greek mainland. It is also the capital of the department with the same name. The city is situated at a beautiful location near the water and has a rich past. In the old center you can stroll through the narrow streets full of taverns and shops.
The city of Preveza is a cultural center with famous archaeological sites in the area. Archaeological sites such as ancient Nicopolis, the oracle of Nekromandion, the Zalongo monument and Kassopi are close by. The fortress of Pantokratoras is located on a beautiful spot on the coast. Together with the castle of Agios Georgios, they dominate the entrance to the Gulf of Amvrakikos. If you have the opportunity to plan some extra days before or after your sailing trip, it is definitely recommended to do this in this area, there is so much to see and experience.
